9/19 - Continue Ch 2 and SCIENCE PROGRESS REPORTS

Today we focused on the "shortcut" that you can use when determining the weight of an object on the earth.

Weight = m*g

g = a constant = 9.8 m/s^2

**REMEMBER - when you are doing problems involving weight on earth, you ALWAYS use the shortcut!

Then we talked about how the earth operates as a system, and the difference between an open and closed system

**Also, today the students were given their progress reports from the school, and I also gave them each a separate science progress report. At this point, they should all know exactly what they have in the class at this time.
