3/8 - Ch 9 - Silicate/Non-Silicate Minerals

Today we began Ch 9 - Minerals of the Earth. We finished Section 9.1 today and focused on Silicate minerals (the different types and examples) and Non-silicate minerals (the different types and examples). Then we talked about the crystal structure of the molecules (how they arrange, focusing on the Silicon-oxygen tetrahedron.

Tomorrow we will learn about the Characteristics of minerals.
