10/14 - Greenhouse Effect and Progress Reports

Today we did a lab on the Greenhouse Effect. We saw how covering a soda bottle with saran wrap helped it hold in heat much better than if the soda bottle was uncovered, when it was put under a hot lamp. We tried this under varying conditions, and discussed what was occurring. This illustrated how greenhouse gases, such as CO2), trap heat into the earth's atmosphere, and warm the earth.

Then you received your third science progress report of the nine weeks, and got back all of your homework/classwork/quizzes from the last 2 weeks.

After that, I handed out a Ch 23 Review Sheet, and you worked on that for the rest of class.
