9/26 - Group Mapping projects
Today the classes that hadn't finished the notes on Chapter 3.1, finished them (one to two pages at the most). REMEMBER, the Chapter 3 quiz is tomorrow. It is on 3.1 and the vocab for all of Chapter 3.
Then we began going through the Group Projects. In general, the projects themselves were very good. Only two improvements for everyone that I can suggest.
1. Work on your presenting skills. For all four (maybe five) projects that we have this year, you will have to give a presentation. PLAN what you are going to say before you go up to speak. If it has to be a certain number of minutes, practice and be sure that your presentation is that long. We read many pages about each type of map, there is a lot of information out there that you can talk about.
2. Make sure that you are doing a project that follows what parameters that we set. You are all so creative...just be sure to that you stay on the topic that we are doing . Group projects can be fun, as many of you seemed to have learned, but the ultimate purpose is for you to learn something, which is part of following the instructions and the limits on what you can do.
Overall, I was pleased, and I hope that they get better and better!!
Remember, quiz tomorrow!!
