9/16 - 2.3: Artificial Satellites, monitor GPS

Today we continued charting Hurricane Ophelia, which has now been downgraded to a tropical storm, and is off the coast of North Carolina. Then we spoke about what the Cassini spacecraft has learned about Saturn's moon Titan.

Then we went through the rest of Chapter 2, working on 2.3 - Artificial Satellites. How gravity and altitude affects them. After that, you received your review sheet for the Ch 1 and 2 test. This test is on Tuesday, and the review sheet is due on Tuesday as well. Remember, it is due for a grade! The was one addition to the review sheet:

25. The weight of an object is 62 N, what is its mass?

and one change to it, #16, change "slowest" to "closest".

For the rest of the class, most periods went outside, and using the GPS navigational system, were able to see there location.
