8/24 - Metric Conversions

Handouts: 1 on Metric Conversions and Scientific Notation

Today we talked about current events, currently there is a tropical storm heading towards the southeastern part of florida. We also talked about looking at the planets. Currently, Mars is the brightest that it will be until 2018, also, Jupiter and Venus are very bright (right around dusk).

We then learned about metric conversions. The three types of basic units (meter, liter, and gram) and how to do metric conversions. The metric units part of the handout is due TOMORROW. It will be graded in class.
